Snow making roadways slick

Spring snow is causing slick conditions this morning on roadways throughout the Inland Northwest. Rollovers and slide-offs have been reported in the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene areas, police said. Several crashes along Interstate 90 slowed traffic during the morning commute, but as of 9:30 a.m. it was clear. Stevens Pass reopened to traffic after being closed from midnight to after 6 a.m. Thursday for crews to clear an avalanche. The slide hit the front of a car but no one was injured. Snoqualmie Pass was also closed for a time overnight for avalanche control. The Transportation Department is requiring traction tires on Stevens Pass. Traction tires advised on Snoqualmie and White passes.
