Work site tools stolen; witness reward offered

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that helps solve a burglary at the construction site of Spokane Junior Academy.

Between end of work Tuesday and the beginning of work Wednesday last week, burglars stole thousands of dollars worth of construction tools and copper wiring.

Workers had locked doors and gates at the end of the day, but the burglar got in through a window that was left open because an extension cord was running through it to the outside of the building.

A band saw, a cordless drill, pliers and wire cutters and strippers are among the stolen tools.

Some of the stolen tools are engraved with “Aztech” – the name of one of the contractors at the site on North Government Way.

Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest is a civilian program that gives cash rewards for information that solves specific crimes or results in apprehension of felony criminal suspects.

Reach Crime Stoppers at (509) 327-5111 or (800) 222-TIPS.
