Mild April weather on tap today

Another nice but cooler day is on tap for the Inland Northwest with temperatures near normal for early April. Highs of 57 are expected in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene with increasing clouds and light winds of 5 to 10 mph after the morning started with partly sunny conditions. Slightly warmer temperatures are expected Friday. At 7 a.m., temperatures were similar across the region with 37 at Spokane International Airport, 40 at Felts Field, 41 in Coeur d’Alene, 40 in Pullman, 38 in Deer Park and 39 in Sandpoint. For the weekend, forecasters are predicting a more active weather pattern with increasing chances of showers and highs in the low 50s in Spokane. Wednesday’s high in Spokane was 65. The normal high for today is 56.
