Man arrested after fleeing during traffic stop

By The Spokesman-Review

A man wanted on an arrest warrant for possession of stolen property was arrested by law enforcement officers after running from a traffic stop this morning in Spokane Valley.

Spokane sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Reagan said the suspect ran after being stopped in a vehicle at Sullivan Road and Marietta Avenue in the vicinity of Spokane Industrial Park at 9:42 a.m. Two others in the vehicle were held by police.

The fleeing driver was tracked to a nearby building and, with the use of a police dog team, was arrested inside the building after 10 a.m., Reagan said.
