Fantasia opens her life to reality TV

From Wire Reports

Fantasia is the latest star to get her life turned into a reality show.

VH1 said Friday that its cameras will begin following the third-season “American Idol” winner for a series that it hopes to premiere early next year about how she deals with fame.

The 24-year-old single mother has written an autobiography called “Life is Not a Fairy Tale,” starred in a TV movie about herself and performed in the Broadway production of “The Color Purple.” She’s recording her third album.

Leigh goes to ‘Weeds’

Jennifer Jason Leigh will be lighting up “Weeds” next season.

Showtime says the 47-year-old actress will appear on the fifth season of the hit dramedy, which premieres June 8 on Showtime.

She will be seen in “at least two episodes” as the older sister of Mary-Louise Parker’s character.

Leigh’s film credits include “Fast Times at Ridgemont High,” “Single White Female” and “Margot at the Wedding.”

Gale blows back in

Gale Harold is back on Wisteria Lane.

Six months after a serious motorcycle accident, the “Desperate Housewives” actor has returned to work. His character, Jackson, is primed to propose to Susan, played by Teri Hatcher.

Harold’s return episode is set to air May 3 on ABC. He is signed to the series through the end of this season, but says he has yet to be asked to return for 2009-10.
