Missing elderly man found safe

An elderly man reported missing this morning has been found and is safe at home, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

Marcello Camacho, 71, had not been seen since leaving his home in the 10500 block of North Waikiki about 3 p.m. Tuesday. He suffers from Alzheimer’s and authorities were concerned for his safety.

Spokane Search and Rescue members combed neighborhoods near Whitworth University this morning. Details on how he was found were not immediately available.
