I-90 to close briefly Sunday; some Spokane streets closed, too

The Spokesman-Review
Interstate 90 near Huetter between Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene is going to be closed for a short period of time on Sunday morning, and several Spokane city streets will see restrictions over the weekend. The freeway will be closed in both directions at 5:30 a.m. for about 10 to 15 minutes to allow for utility work by Kootenai Electric Cooperative. Idaho State Police will have flaggers posted to direct traffic to alternate routes during the closure. Also, messages are being posted at exits prior to the closure so motorists can take the alternate routes.
37th Avenue and Perry Street
The intersection of 37th Avenu and Perry Street in Spokane will be closed starting at 8 p.m. today and continuing until Monday morning for city water department work.
Northwest Spokane
Saturday’s America’s Kids Run is expected to cause traffic backups Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon in the vicinity of Wellesley Avenue and Assembly Street. Construction work on Alberta, Cochran and Belt streets is limiting routes in northwest Spokane. The intersection of Garland Avenue and Alberta Street is closed for construction work.
Post Street Bridge
Earth Day activities on Sunday will result in closure of Post Street from Spokane Falls Boulevard to Bridge Avenue from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
