Woman dies in house fire

A woman died this afternoon in an Otis Orchards house fire.
The home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, said Spokane Valley Fire Chief Mike Thompson. “We were unable to get to her.”
Crews were called to the rural home at 4115 N. Canal Road shortly after 3 p.m., Thompson said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The woman has not yet been identified.
The three bedroom mobile home is owned by Carl Glover, according to the Spokane County Assessor’s Office.
