Property tax deadline Thursday

Tick. Tick. Tick. That’s the sound of time running out for Washington state residents to pay the first half of their 2009 property tax. Property owners have until Thursday to pay those taxes to their local county treasurer. It can be mailed, by state law requires the envelope to be postmarked by April 30. That means if you plan to mail it tomorrow, make sure it’s dropped off somewhere that it will be picked up and postmarked that day. Payment can also be made by credit card or over the Internet or credit card. In Spokane County, payments can be mailed to: Spokane County Treasurer P.O.
