Food drive brings in 2 tons

Students at Mt. Spokane High School recently sponsored the annual spring food drive at Yoke’s Fresh Market, 210 E. North Foothills Drive, to benefit the Mead community.

The Mt. Spokane ASB class, along with class councils from each grade, collected nearly 4,000 pounds of food, according to a press release.

Bands seek to fill Arena

Approximately 2,400 fifth- and sixth-grade band and orchestra students in Spokane Public Schools will participate in the annual Band and Strings Spectacular on Tuesday in the Spokane Arena, 720 W. Mallon Ave., at 7 p.m.
