Holistic fair offers vendors, presentations

The Unity Church of Truth, 2900 S. Bernard, will hold a Mind, Body and Spirit Holistic Fair on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

More than 30 vendors will be on hand, and there will be presentations from astrologer Govinda Miller and Deidre Ashman of Unity Church.

Workshops and seminars

•Hillyard Baptist Church, 2121 E. Wabash, will present a workshop, “How to Prevent and Protect Our Children from Sexual Abuse,” on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Corey Jewell-Jensen, co-director for the Center for Behavioral Intervention in Beaverton, Ore., will speak.

•The church will also host a conference, “Being There,” Friday and Saturday.

The conference will discuss healing, education and relevant information about helping and supporting victims of abuse.

•Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1703 N. Washington, will offer a question and answer session Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Anyone interested in learning about the Orthodox Christian faith is invited to attend.

•Liberty Park United Methodist Church, 1526 E. 11th Ave., will hold a community meeting Friday at 6 p.m.

Representatives from SustainableWorks, a nonprofit organization, will discuss energy conservation.

The church will serve free hot dogs and chips at 5:30 p.m.

•Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 4320 S. Conklin St., will present “Dine-n-Dash,” a spaghetti feed and worship service for those loading up on carbs for Bloomsday.

Dinner will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, followed by a worship service at 7 p.m.

Summer camp sign-up

St. Patrick Catholic School, 2706 E. Queen, will accept registrations for its summer camp through Friday.

The first session of camp for kids going into the first through the sixth grade will be June 15-25. The second session is Aug. 10-20. Camp is in session from 8 to 11:45 a.m.

There will be classes focusing on reading, writing and arithmetic, as well as a free computer technology class.

The cost is $65 per class, or all three classes for $130.

Bloomsday service

Central United Methodist Church, 518 W. Third Ave., will hold its usual Sunday service on Saturday at 6 p.m. to accommodate those participating in Bloomsday.

The service will include a blessing of the feet and Holy Communion.

Rummage sale

All Saints School will hold a schoolwide garage sale Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the school’s primary building on 18th Avenue and Freya Street.

Gardening and household items, furniture, sports equipment, toys and more will be for sale.

The proceeds will benefit the student council and the school’s athletic program.
