Prep roundup: Tiger golfers sweep

Ferris High School’s Garrett Howard and University’s Hank Frame both shot 1-over-par 73s at The Links Golf Course in Post Falls Wednesday afternoon to share medalist honors in a Greater Spokane League match.

But Lewis and Clark, behind Christian Alfaro’s 74 and top-15 finishes by three of his teammates, claimed the team title by beating runner-up University 391-399.

In the girls match, LC’s Chessey Thomas took medalist honors with a 4-over 76 and teammate Megan Haase finished second with an 80 as the Tigers rolled to another lopsided victory.

LC’s team score of 410 was 72 strokes better than runner-up Gonzaga Prep’s 482.
