McMorris Rodgers failing us

The Spokesman-Review

The Spokesman-Review recently published an article about how important health care issues are to our region. Are people aware that our congressional representative, Cathy McMorris Rodgers, is a leading supporter of the efforts of insurance and pharmaceutical companies to prevent adequate, common sense and fair health care reform?

Note that it was McMorris Rodgers that the Republicans chose to counter President Obama’s recent radio address on health care. Note that she recently sent out a newsletter making untrue, fear-mongering claims about Democratic health reform plans. Note that health insurance companies were major contributors to her campaigns. Note that she represents the extreme right wing of the Republican Party. MSNBC just showed a video of her suggesting that perhaps Obama is not a U.S. citizen, a position only held by kooks who ignore all the evidence to the contrary.

McMorris Rodgers is not representing us! She is an embarrassment and an impediment to reforms. Health care reform is so important, not just to individuals and families, but for our particular economy here in Eastern Washington.

Write to her now and demand better representation. Let her know we will vote her out of office if she doesn’t change her ways.
