Prehistoric camp for children

CLIFF/CANNON – The Corbin Art Center, 507 W. Seventh Ave., will host the Corbin Kids Prehistoric Camp, Monday through Aug.14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp is for ages 6 to 11.

Children can explore the world of dinosaurs, create fossils, and have an opportunity to study animals that roamed the Earth more than 550 million years ago.

Cost is $104 and pre-registration is required.

Yard party will benefit women

CLIFF/CANNON – On Aug. 15, Miryam’s House, 1805 W. Ninth Ave., will host an August Yard Party, from 1 to 5 p.m.

The end-of-summer event will include a silent auction, entertainment, crafts and refreshments. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Transitions Programs for Women.
