Man dies after assault

A man died after being assaulted in the area of Lincoln and Indiana at 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
Police received a report of a fight and arrived to find the man nearly unconscious and barely breathing, according to a press release from the Spokane Police Department. He later died of his injuries. His name will not be released until police notify his family of his death.
No other information is currently being released. Police are asking that anyone who witnessed the fight call Crime Check at 456-2233.
