The columnist Cal Thomas would fit in well with the rabble-rousing crowds at the so-called “town hall meetings.” He describes those who think that “health care should be rationed” (one of many phony accusations) as believing, “We are evolutionary accidents who managed to crawl out of the slime …”
But those who oppose the still aborning health care plan that will ultimately provide medical care for the millions now unprotected – well, these “see human beings as unique creatures.” It would seem that all Christians will be opposing health care reform.
He sees the present congressional health reform effort resulting in “snuffing out” the life of a 100-year-old Granny who is a “burden.” Mr. Thomas refers to “the explosive town hall meetings.” The reason they are explosive is because people like this columnist are lighting the fuse.
