SPOKANE COUNTY – Brittany Cozza, Miss Spokane’s Outstanding Teen 2009, placed third runner-up at the Miss Washington State Outstanding Teen competition in July.

Cozza received the overall talent award, the Spokesmodel Award and the People’s Choice Award, and won $850 in cash and scholarships.

Cozza is a student at North Central High School.

David Ruff joins Behan board

EAST CENTRAL – The Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, 1004 E. Eighth Ave., recently announced David Ruff, of Coffman Engineers, as a new board member.

The Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect.
