Store customer punched in purse snatching

A woman leaving a convenience store in Spokane Valley was punched by a robber, who knocked her unconscious and fled with her purse, officers said. The 28-year-old woman reported she was going into a 7-Eleven at 2122 N. Pines Rd. about 10 p.m. on Thursday when her assailant was leaving. As they passed, he grabbed her purse and punched her hard enough that she blacked out momentarily. A K-9 team attempted to find a track, but was unsuccessful. The robber was described as black, 5-foot-7, medium build and wearing dark shirt and pants. He had his hair in corn rows. The purse was brown with cherries printed on it.
