Another alleged assault victim recants at WSU

A second alleged victim of assault on Washington State University’s Pullman campus has recanted her story.

The incident, which supposedly happened Aug. 19 on Terrell Mall near Library Road, did not occur, WSU police said.

On Tuesday, a WSU student recanted after telling police she had been sexually assaulted on campus the evening before.

Police continue to investigate a third assault that reportedly occurred early Monday on Troy Lane on campus.
