Solan leads city field

Jim Solan not only leads the senior championship flight, but also has the best overall score after two rounds of the Odom Spokane City Golf Championship.

Solan fired a 66 at Downriver on Saturday for a 36-hole total of 140 and a six-stroke lead in his division.

Bob Witte and Tyler Johnson share the lead in the championship flight at 141.

Friday’s first round was played at Esmeralda. The 54-hole tournament concludes today at the Creek at Qualchan.

A field of 115 golfers is competing in five flights.
