Vehicle occupant trapped in Post Falls accident

The Spokesman-Review
Post Falls police and fire crews have responded to Mullan Avenue and Idaho Street where a rollover injury accident apparently has trapped a vehicle occupant. Details of the 9:15 a.m. multi-vehicle accident were still emerging, but traffic was being blocked through the area, the police department reported. Extrication equipment was requested from the fire department, which responded to the scene. A serious injury may have occurred. Elsewhere this morning, a vehicle and semi-truck collided in a non-injury accident on Argonne Road north of Trent Avenue shortly before 9 a.m. The accident blocked traffic temporarily. Officers were asking for de-icer about 9:40 a.m. for Cheney-Spokane Road just southwest of U.S. Highway 395 which had become icy. A three-car accident in the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 slowed traffic moving up the hill near the freeway interchange with U.S. Highway 2 earlier this morning, but the scene been cleared and traffic is back to normal. No injuries were reported. The left hand lane had been closed and traffic arrows were brought to the scene to tell drivers to merge to the right. The state Department of Transportation was going to apply de-icer because of slippery conditions from freezing fog or drizzle, troopers said. Snow could be seen on the shoulder in traffic cameras pointed at the scene. A dispatcher said the accident occurred at 6:45 a.m.
