COEUR D’ALENE – North Idaho College received a $1 million Idaho Go On grant from the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation.

The Idaho Go On program is a statewide initiative that aims to increase opportunities for Idaho students.

Submit recipes for cookbook

COEUR D’ALENE – Louise Bershers, North Idaho Fair Culinary Arts superintendent, is asking community members to share their favorite recipes for the new North Idaho Fair Cookbook.

The completed cookbook will be sold at the North Idaho Fair and Rodeo Office and at the fair, scheduled for Aug. 25-29.

Saddle Club raised funds for fairgrounds

COEUR D’ALENE – Dave Nussear, president of the North Idaho Fair and Rodeo, recently received a $2,500 check from the Kootenai County Saddle Club.

The money was raised during a 2009 barrel racing series and will be used to improve the arena conditions in the north arena at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds.
