Man arrested in Mattawa triple homicide

MATTAWA, Wash. — A 24-year-old Mattawa resident has been arrested in Sunnyside in connection with a triple homicide.

Sunnyside police arrested J. Guadalupe Martinez on Tuesday evening at a restaurant while investigating a convenience store robbery.

Several other law enforcement agencies assisted with the arrest, which was announced by the Sunnyside Police Department in a statement Wednesday.

Grant County Undersheriff John Turley says the coroner is working to identify the victims and contact their families.
