Bank robbed in north Spokane

A bank was robbed in north Spokane today. Employees at Chase Bank, 822 W. Francis Ave., hit a silent alarm about 5 p.m. after a man handed a teller a note then left with cash, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. The robber said nothing and left on foot. No getaway vehicle was seen. Witnesses described the robber as a white man, 20 to 30 years old, 6-feet tall and about 200 pounds. He wore blue jeans, a dark blue sweatshirt and a dark blue baseball cap over blond hair and had light blond beard stubble on his face.
