Vacations boost productivity

The Spokesman-Review

In her statement of “concern about the extra vacation” to the Spokesman’s Jonathan Brunt, Spokane City Councilwoman Nancy McLaughlin could not possibly have meant our police officers’ “productivity level is going to go down,” could she? Really?

Keeping healthy, rested police officers on the streets results in higher productivity, in my opinion, and that additional week of vacation might allow them to moonlight occasionally for extra money they deserve but don’t receive from the citizens and council members they protect every day.
