New faces

Market Vision has hired Monique Thielman as account manager. She has 10 years of related experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in business management from Washington State University. In addition, the company has hired Beth Degenhardt as media coordinator. She previously worked for Hollister in Tacoma as a store manager and holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with minors in finance, economics and computer science from Central Washington University.

Lisa Werner has been hired by Spokane Eye Clinic as director of human resources. She has 20 years of human resources and management experience and previously worked for a legal services organization as an office administrator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University.

Inland Northwest Bank has hired Lisa Sanborn as a vice president and controller. She worked for Moss Adams LLP as a senior manager for the past 12 years. She is a graduate of Eastern Washington University and is a certified public accountant. Alivia Body has been hired by the Idaho Department of Labor as regional economist for the Idaho Panhandle. She previously worked as economic development coordinator for the Eight Mile Boulevard Association in Detroit. She holds an associate degree in business administration from Oakland Community College and a degree in economics from the University of Michigan.

Promotions

Sean Briggs and Sean Mirus have been promoted to marketing coordinators for Schweitzer Mountain Resort of Idaho’s marketing department. Both previously worked as seasonal employees for the company.

Kudos

The Council of Residential Specialists has presented Katie Bane with a Certified Residential Specialist Designation. She has also earned Graduate of Realtor Institute and Accredited Buyer’s Representative designations. Bane currently works as a Realtor for Century 21 Beutler and Associates’ Coeur d’Alene office.

Dr. Thane Hisaw has been named a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He currently practices pediatric dentistry on Spokane’s South Hill and in Airway Heights.

The U.S. Commerce Association has presented Monique’s Salon with a 2009 Best of Spokane Valley Award in the Beauty Shops category.

Mike Bass has earned a Certified Residential Specialist Designation from the Council of Residential Specialists. He also holds an Accredited Buyer’s Representative Designation and works as a Realtor for Century 21 Beutler and Associates’ Spokane office.

Gifts

Schweitzer Mountain Resort Idaho raised $8,300 during its fourth annual Day for Heather. The company donated 100 percent of its proceeds to Community Cancer Services of Sandpoint.

Triumph Composite Systems raised more than $3,500 and 23 toys for the Toys for Tots drive.

Appointed

Inland Northwest Health Services has appointed Elaine Couture and William Gilbert as new members of its board of directors. Couture serves as chief operating officer of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children’s Hospital and Providence Holy Family Hospital. Gilbert is the chief executive officer of Deaconess Medical Center.

Elected

Laurie Payne and Debbie Belknap have been elected to the Washington Association of Diabetes Educators board. Payne will serve as co-chair while Belknap will represent the board’s nominating committee. Both work as certified diabetes educators for CHER Diabetes Education Center in Spokane.

Elements Therapeutic Massage Inc. has elected Joel Hayek to serve on the company’s Leadership Council. Hayek is the area director and franchise owner of Elements in Spokane.
