War is bankrupting us

The Spokesman-Review

Merry Christmas, America, it’s time we wake up. America is drowning under the weight of its own military.

The Republicans started a war because war is a great way to stimulate the economy, but you have to get out before it bankrupts you. The Democrats aren’t any better because they have no spine to make the hard changes.

The military should be no more than 25 percent of our government income (not 50 percent like it is). Make them save up to fight wars.

There will be no recovery unless we produce something. All of the stimulus packages do nothing if they encourage us to buy foreign appliances. Try to find American-made products and buy them. Get out of your TV-induced coma and demand your Congress people do their jobs, or throw them out.
