From Staff Reports

The Spokane Regional Health District is looking for members to serve on its Food Advisory Committee.

The 13-member committee is a cooperative effort between the Health District’s food safety program and the food industry. It helps develop educational materials and class instruction programs and gives input on health district policies, procedures, regulations and fees.

The committee openings are for a food service industry representative, a Spokane Restaurant Association representative, a temporary food events representative and a medical and institutions representative.

Applicants must be willing to serve a two-year term and attend formal meetings on the first Wednesday of February, June and November. In addition, members must be able to attend a member selection meeting each January.

If you are interested in becoming a committee member and would like an application sent to you, please contact the Spokane Regional Health District food program at (509) 324-1560, ext. 2.

Applications must be received by the Health District no later than Jan. 11.
