Calvin Haynes had 15 points Saturday to lead Oregon State to a 57-54 Pacific-10 Conference win over Oregon in the 330th “civil war” meeting between the schools, at Corvallis, Ore.

Omari Johnson added 14 points for Oregon State, which has four wins in the first half of the Pac-10 schedule for the first time since the 2002-03 season.

Tajuan Porter had 22 points to lead Oregon.

Oregon State overcame a 12-point first-half deficit and trailed 35-30 at halftime.

The Beavers took the lead for good at 42-39 on Haynes’ 3-pointer with 12:56 remaining. A desperation 3-pointer by Oregon’s Matthew Humphrey from just inside halfcourt as time expired was off the mark.

(17) UCLA 97, Stanford 63: At Los Angeles, Darren Collison, Alfred Aboya and Jrue Holiday all scored 15 points and the Bruins put away the Cardinal with a 40-14 run over both halves on their way to a victory.

Holiday added six rebounds and five assists for UCLA, while Michael Roll had 12 points and Josh Shipp 11 in the Bruins’ fifth consecutive win over Stanford, including a three-game sweep last season in which all the games were decided by 10 points or less.

Anthony Goods was the only scorer in double figures with 15 for the Cardinal, who got swept in Los Angeles. Stanford was coming off its third one-point loss of the season at Southern California on Thursday.

The Bruins outscored Stanford 40-14 over the end of the first half and start of the second, with Aboya and Holiday scoring 11 points each during that stretch.

USC 73, California 62: At Los Angeles, freshman Demar DeRozan scored a game-high 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting to lead the Trojans past the Golden Bears.

USC won for the fifth time in its last six games to secure third place in the Pac-10 before embarking on a three-game road stretch.

Junior forward Taj Gibson, who was recently diagnosed with pneumonia, tallied his 11th double-double this season with 12 points and 13 rebounds. He also had two blocks. Gibson had seven offensive rebounds.

Junior guard Daniel Hackett contributed 14 points and Dwight Lewis scored 12 points.

Hackett helped USC take a 31-28 lead, making a jump shot at the halftime buzzer. Marcus Johnson pleased the crowd early on with a dunk over the top of Cal’s Jorge Gutierrez.
