Obama not walking his talk

The Spokesman-Review

Thank you, Kirsten Cook, for your letter (Jan. 26) reminding President Obama of President Lincoln’s words. The contents couldn’t have been more poignant in light of today’s circumstances. While President Obama makes many promises, recent actions are troubling for a man who considers himself a Lincoln emulator.

For all of President Obama’s talk of integrity and change in Washington, his actions seem to indicate business as usual. The overlooked tax troubles of his Treasury secretary, the “stimulus package” worth over $2,700 for every American that doles money out to favored organizations and people, and another exception given to his lobbyist policy, doesn’t look like change we can believe in.
