Gray leads way as Mead wins gymnastics title

Taylor Gray won the all-around title and helped Mead capture the Greater Spokane League gymnastics title Wednesday during a four-way meet at Mead Middle School.

Gray won the floor exercise (9.35 points) and vault (8.7) on the way to 35.0 points as the Panthers scored 168.025 points to finish 9-0. Stacie Davis won the uneven bars (8.4) and placed second in the all-around as University (8-1) scored 166.05 points.

Boys basketball

Pasco 67, Post Falls 58: The visiting Bulldogs (10-7) hit eight 3-pointers during a 35-point third quarter to pull away from the Trojans (13-3) in a non-league game. PF’s Connor Hill hit three 3-pointers on the way to 13 points.

Upper Columbia 68, St. Michael’s 51: The visiting Lions of Spangle shot 31 of 60 from the floor to defeat the Warriors (3-15) in a non-leaguer. Michael Ochoa scored 26 points for St. Michael’s.

Girls basketball

St. Michael’s 56, Upper Columbia 21: Breana Vila scored 12 points, Katie Urann had 11 rebounds and Tina Raynor added four assists as the host Warriors (7-11) defeated the Lions in a non-leaguer.
