In brief: Riverfront Park job fair Sunday

The City of Spokane Parks and Recreation Department will host their 17th annual Job Fair on Sunday in the Riverfront Park Pavilion, from noon to 4 p.m.

The Job Fair will provide information for more than 200 spring and summer positions for the City of Spokane’s Riverfront Park, including attraction attendants for carrousel, SkyRide, Tour Train and pavilion rides, food and attraction cashiers, food service cooks and storeroom attendants.

Riverfront Park staff will be on hand to answer employment questions and distribute applications. Applicants must be 16 or older by March 9. Some positions require applicants to be 18 or older to apply.

Seasonal positions begin mid-March and in spring and fall months, most employees work 15 to 20 hours per week. Some positions require 40 hours per week and during the summer, 30 to 40 hours per week. Wages begin at $8.65 per hour.

Aquatics positions will also be available. Lifeguard applicants need to be 15 at time of application and prepared to attend a training class during the spring.

Applications will be available in the Riverfront Park Lobby, located in the main Pavilion near the IMAX Theater, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.
