Explosive device found at GU, student expelled

The Spokesman-Review
A Molotov cocktail found in a Gonzaga University parking lot on Tuesday led to the discovery of firearms and ammunition at an off-campus location this week, according to the Spokane Fire Department. Timothy D. Parker, 18, was expelled and faces charges for the weapons, the fire department said. Investigators found unspecified “prohibitive items” in Parker’s dorm room, but no weapons were found on campus during the search, the fire department said. “It appears that at no time were other students and/or staff in danger from the situation,” said Assistant Chief Brian Schaeffer in a news release.
