Bears reach 20 wins at Oregon’s expense

Harper Kamp scored a career-high 18 points and Jamal Boykin had 11 points and 14 rebounds Thursday to lead California to a 78-60 win over Oregon in Pac-10 Conference basketball play at Eugene, Ore.

Jerome Randle scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half, and Patrick Christopher added 16 for the Bears (20-6, 9-4).

Tajuan Porter scored 19 points to lead the Ducks (6-20, 0-14 Pac-10).

The Ducks have lost 20 games for the first time since 1993. They made just 5 of 26 attempts from 3-point range and shot 34 percent overall.

California led 44-36 at halftime before scoring the first 10 points of the second half to pull away for its fourth straight win. The Bears had a 40-27 edge in rebounds and a 44-28 advantage on points in the paint.

Oregon State 66, Stanford 54: At Corvallis, Ore., Roeland Schaftenaar scored a career-high 26 points as the Beavers (12-13, 6-8) defeated the Cardinal (15-9, 4-9) to complete a season sweep.

Calvin Haynes added 17 points for the Beavers, who have their most conference wins since winning eight in the 2004-05 season. Oregon State won zero last season.

Jeremy Green had 19 points, all in the second half, to lead Stanford.

OSU led by as many as 21 in the second half, but Stanford rallied. Green made three consecutive 3-pointers, the last closing the gap to 59-54 with 1:53 left.
