OUTLOOK: The Vandals have won just once in seven tries on the road, and they face easily their toughest road swing to kick off the WAC slate. Nevada (7-6) was the preseason favorite by WAC coaches and media to win the conference but labored to a 3-4 start before improving of late. The only loss this season for Utah State (11-1) came against BYU. The Aggies, ranked 65th by CollegeRPI.com, are led by 6-foot-9 forward Gary Wilkinson’s 16.4 points per game. Idaho last beat USU in 2004, when both schools were in the Big West. Point guard Mac Hopson continues to pace the Vandals in points (16.3) and assists (5.9).
