Drivers need to hang up
The editorial on cell phones (Jan. 8) was half right. Talking on the phone while driving is a huge distraction.
Making it a primary offense changes nothing. You can still talk on the phone while driving. You just have to have a hands-free device. Even if it were a primary offense the results would still be the same.
People talking on the phone will be in more accidents than people not on the phone. The only solution would be to ban talking on the phone period.
