The Post Falls Parks and Recreation Department currently has discounted lift tickets to Schweitzer Mountain Resort.
A limited number of tickets available are $50 for adults and $39 for juniors, ages 7 to 17. Tickets may be used during the 2008-2009 season.

Energy Assistant position open
The Post Falls Senior Citizens Center, located at 1215 E. Third Ave., has a position available for an Energy Assistant.
Interviews will be held on Jan. 29, by appointment only.

Dodgeball leagues taking registrants
Registration for adult coed and men’s spring dodgeball leagues are now open.
Participants must be at least 16 years old and each team will play a six match season plus a post-season double-elimination tournament. Teams will play six on six. Games will begin on March 12 and will be played on Thursday evenings.
The fee is $250 per team.
Registration will be accepted through Feb. 20.

Spokane chamber group performs
The Spokane Symphony Chamber will present “What Lincoln Should Have Heard” as part of Spokane’s Annual Lincoln Festival on Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center, 405 William St.
The chamber soiree will feature music from the mid-1800s including selections from Strauss, Puccini and Schumann.
Tickets are $25 per person and include a glass of wine or sparkling cider.

Art on the Green contest under way
The Citizens Council for the Arts, at the Harding Center, 411 N. 15th St., is asking local artists to share their talent in the 2009 poster contest for the 41st annual Art on the Green.
The winning design will also be used on T-shirts, pins, programs, and festival literature.
Art should be the artist’s original work and be in finished form, but unframed. The art needs to be 12-by-16 inches and will need to include or allow space for the festival information: 41st Annual Art on the Green, July 31, August 1, & 2, 2009, On the Grounds of North Idaho College, The Citizens’ Council for the Arts, and the CCA logo.
The award for the winning design is $600, along with a T-shirt with the winning design.
Entries may be submitted at the Citizens’ Council for the Arts office.
