Anthony Laurenzi, a freshman defensive lineman at Washington State, was cited last week for possession of marijuana, under 40 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, according to Pullman police spokesman Cmdr. Chris Tennant.

Laurenzi, from Placentia, Calif., was arrested, cited and released. If convicted, each charge carries a mandatory minimum $250 fine and one day in jail for a first offense.

Laurenzi, who redshirted last season, has been suspended from team activities pending an investigation by the coaching staff, according to a WSU spokesman.
