Breast self-exam program Saturday

St. Stephen’s Women in Ministry will host a presentation of the Plexus Pink Breast Self-Examination kit Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 5720 S. Perry St.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the kits will benefit St. Stephen’s Outreach programs.

Italian dinner

The St. Patrick’s Alumni Association will present an Italian dinner Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the school’s cafeteria, 2706 E. Queen St.

The dinner will include food catered from Mamma Mia’s. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Don’t worry about missing the Gonzaga men’s basketball game – it will be aired during the dinner.

The cost to attend is $10 per person, or $5 for children age 5 and younger.

Classes and workshops

Northwood Presbyterian Church, 6721 N. Monroe St., will present a six-week workshop, “Writing your Memoirs,” starting Saturday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and will continue for the next five Saturdays.

The workshop is free, but registration is required.

First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Cedar St., will present the Alpha Course, an 11-week series that will deal with questions about the Christian faith.

The course begins today at 6 p.m.

Manito Presbyterian Church, 401 E. 30th Ave., will present a class to help save money on grocery and energy costs today at 7 p.m. Spokane Neighborhood Action Programs and a registered dietitian will present the class.
