Temperatures rising above freezing

Prepare to peel off the layers of clothing: The temperatures are rising above freezing. Highs in the mid-30s are forecast for the Inland Northwest today, according to the National Weather Service. After the patchy fog clears, cloudy skies will be revealed. Areas of freezing fog and drizzle are expected tonight as temperatures dip into the upper 20s, according to the weather service. A mix of rain and snow flurries is forecast for Friday as the mercury rises into the mid-30s. Saturday will be cooler with a high of 32 and a low of 19 predicted in Spokane, according to the weather service. A slight chance of snow showers is forecast for Sunday. As the work week kicks off, temperatures will start to climb near 40.
