Woman seriously injured after being struck in crosswalk
The Spokesman-Review
A woman sustained life-threatening injures Thursday morning after being hit by a truck in a downtown crosswalk.
The driver, who was not identified, could be charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian, said Spokane police Officer Teresa Fuller.
A Chevy pickup was turning left from First Avenue onto Post Street on a green light when the accident happened. The woman also had the go-ahead on a walk sign.
The victim, who also was not identified, suffered head trauma and was transported to a local hospital, Fuller said. Her condition was not available Thursday night.
Police say there is no indication of drugs or alcohol being involved.

cars don't look even cops pass up pedestrians regularly. if your late for work you have to move it so if i was a pedestrian i'd just consider you not in the right of way because right dont matter when you're dead just my thought. and local observation from living on a busy road in spokane.

Pedestrians have the right of way and are always at risk in Spokane.
