WSU education dean, 70, dies

PULLMAN – Judy Nichols Mitchell, who was dean of the Washington State University College of Education for the past 11 years, has died.
Mitchell, 70, died last weekend at her home in Pullman.
Mitchell was WSU’s longest-serving dean and a leader on state and national education issues.
The cause of her death had not been determined early this week.
