New faces

Diane Knutson has been hired as a sales agent for Coldwell Banker Northwest Group. She previously worked for Tomlinson Real Estate.

Washington Trust Bank has hired Mike Buller as assistant vice president and relationship manager for the company’s Spokane office of Wealth Management and Advisory Services. He previously worked for a national brokerage firm in Spokane and has eight years of financial advisory industry experience.

Dr. Howard Baron has joined Pediatric Gastroenterology in the practice of pediatrics/ gastroenterology. He graduated from and completed his internship and residency at the University of Minnesota and completed a fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Pinnacle Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine has hired Shawn Moehring as a physical therapist. He holds a master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and has 12 years of related experience.

Dr. Brett Henkel has joined Family Health Center in the practice of family medicine. He is a graduate of Flinders University of South Australia and completed his internship and residency at Family Medicine Spokane.

Dr. Salil Manek has joined Rockwood Main Clinic in the practice of neurology. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University, completed his internship and residency at Loma Linda University, completed a residency and fellowship at the University of Texas and completed a fellowship at the University of Southern California.

Kudos

The Spokane County Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program has awarded Winston and Cashatt with an Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award for the firm’s contributions to the Street Law program and for providing technical support to the association. In addition, Winston and Cashatt attorneys, Nancy Isserlis and Kevin Curtis were recognized as Super Lawyers by Washington Law and Politics, a statewide legal publication. The magazine also named Isserlis as one of the state’s top 50 female attorneys.

Elected

The following individuals have been elected to serve as board officers for the 2009-’10 Spokane Club Board of Trustees: president, John Pilcher, investment and real estate consultant; president-elect, Jan Quintrall, president and chief executive officer of the Better Business Bureau of Eastern Washington, North Idaho and Montana; vice president, Harry Sladich, president and chief executive officer of the Spokane Convention and Visitors Bureau; secretary, Kevin Twohig, executive director of Spokane Public Facilities District; and treasurer, Melissa George, Realtor for Windermere Manito. Newly elected trustees of the board: Stephanie Bregher, co-owner of Alexander Boats; Kent Caputo, chief operating officer of Kalispel Tribal Economic Authority; Jim DeWalt, chief executive officer of Associated Industries; and Taudd Hume, attorney for Foster Pepper.

Appointed

Dave Christy and Sam Higgins have been appointed to State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co.’s Chairman’s Circle. Both work as State Farm agents in Spokane.
