Bible school offered in south Spokane

Southside Christian Church, 2934 E. 27th Ave., will hold its vacation Bible school, KAPOW (Krazy Awesome Powerful Outrageous Week), July 20 to July 23 from 9 a.m. to noon for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade.

The program is free if parents register their children by Sunday. It will be $15 after that.

KAPOW will feature a community block party the evening of June 23.

Spiritual cinema

Unity Church of Truth, 2900 S. Bernard St., will show the movie “Amazing Grace” Wednesday at 7 p.m. The movie explains the history of the hymn “Amazing Grace” and discusses the impact it has had on musicians.
