New faces

Dr. Derrick Walker has joined Palouse Surgeons as a board certified surgeon. He is a graduate of Western University of Health and Sciences College and completed his residency at USAF Medical Center. He recently completed a tour of duty in Iraq with 366th Medical Support Group, U.S. Air Force.

Stamper Rubens, P.S. has hired Darren Digiacinto as an associate attorney. He previously worked as a clerk at Division II of the Washington State Court of Appeals for the Honorable Judge C.C. Bridgewater and the Honorable Judge Marywave Van Deren. He is a graduate of Seattle University School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Abilene Christian University.

Dr. Eric Roberts has joined Inland Neurosurgery and Spine Associates in the practice of physician medicine and rehabilitation. He is a graduate of Eastern Tennessee State University, completed his internship and residency at the University of Kentucky and completed a fellowship at the Center for Pain Care.

Focus Group Marketing has hired Matt Hamlin as a graphic designer and sales team member. He holds bachelor’s degrees in communication and fine arts from Washington State University and previously worked as a freelancer.

Dr. K. Craig Hart has joined Community Health Systems Hospitalist Services in the practice of internal medicine. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where he also completed his internship and residency.

Desautel Hege Communications has promoted Nick Lawhead from account coordinator to account executive. He has been with the company since June 2007.

Marjoni Marketing has received two Bronze Telly Awards for TV commercials the agency created for Orchard Crest Retirement Community and the Kitchen Engine.

Wheatland Express of Pullman has received the highest motor carrier safety rating based on standards set by the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Appointed

Jeff Terrill has been appointed to Nighthawk Radiology Holdings Inc.’s Board of Directors and Audit Committee as an independent member. Terrill has more than 20 years of health care industry experience and works for CIGNA Healthcare as vice president of the Western Region.

Elected

The following individuals have been elected to leadership positions for the American Red Cross Inland Northwest Chapter’s 2009-2010 Board of Directors: Carol Wilson, community volunteer – chair; Brady Cass, Asuris Northwest Healthcare – vice chair; and Patti Benson, community volunteer – secretary. New members include: Yoshi Smith of Washington State University and David Troyke of Waddell and Reed.
