Circumstances of injury misstated

Brent King, a competitor in the National Veterans Wheelchair Games, was injured on the obstacle course used for the Best Ranger Competition at Fort Benning, Ga., but wasn’t participating in that competition and never went through Ranger training. He was competing against fellow infantry soldiers in a timed event. A story on Sunday’s Sports cover contained incorrect information on the circumstances of King’s injuries. Also, the story mistakenly portrayed him as a “standout” on his Davenport High School football team, when, in fact, he played only one year.

Incorrect date given for fur trade encampment

The Living History Fur Trade Encampment took place last month; an incorrect date was listed in Thursday’s Family calendar.
