Nine Mile Falls Dam safety restriction lifted

A boating restriction above Nine Mile Falls Dam has been lifted.

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office reported Thursday that a broken safety cable above the Avista dam has been replaced, and boating from Plese Flats to the dam has resumed.

The cable broke during heavy spring runoff in April, prompting the boating restriction.
