County tax? No way

The Spokesman-Review

I will not vote for any tax in this county, even in the face of dire warnings that babies and old folks will surely die and law enforcement will be closed, until county government creates public-scrutinized priorities, on which efficient law enforcement appears as number one and racetrack purchases appear as, uh, they don’t appear at all.

As further enticement for my vote, the county can adopt the position that county labor will be acquired at the least possible cost, not the highest possible cost.

This county has a perfect record of inflating the costs of all the “services” it provides with callous disregard for the noncounty government wage earner.

I’ll watch for my ballot in the mail.
