Police arrest 4 after Lakewood shooting

Investigators not sure whether one is man who shot guard

Associated Press
LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Lakewood police say four people have been arrested in the fatal shooting of an armored car guard during a bank branch robbery at a Wal-Mart store. A spokeswoman says the four include a Wal-Mart employee, as well as a man believed to be the gunman. Lt. Heidi Hoffman says a man and woman were arrested Tuesday night, hours after the Tuesday afternoon shooting that killed the guard and wounded a store customer in this Tacoma suburb. On Wednesday, police arrested a 37-year-old man and a 20-year-old man. Hoffman says the last two are believed to be the men shown on surveillance video after the robbery. All were arrested for investigation of homicide, robbery and assault. Hoffman says about two-thirds of the money has been recovered, although she declined to specify how much was stolen. The spokeswoman has described the four as conspiring to rob guard Kurt Husted, who was killed with a single shot to the head.
