Downed power line closes SR 195
The Spokesman-Review
State Route 195 south of Colfax was shut down for at least an hour Sunday night after a power line fell across the road.
Colfax firefighters were called to a possible structure fire caused by downed power lines around 5:30 p.m., arriving to find a 14,000-volt power line and transformer burning on the ground. About 20 firefighters responded from Steptoe, Diamond, Albion and Colfax, and Avista cut power to the lines, according to the Colfax Fire Department.
Before Avista workers arrived, a power line burned through and fell across the road.
Avista crews replaced the power pole.
